Good Friday, by Kanye West (feat. Common, Pusha T, Kid Cudi, Big Sean & Charlie Wilson)
Today is sunny. It’s almost 70 degrees outside. And it’s also Friday. I couldn’t ask to be happier. To celebrate the end of the week, check out this Kanye West single, which the man himself released as a free song through his website last year along with a number of other jams for collectors and sound hounds. I had to troll for this one: you can’t find the real version anywhere on YouTube. All of the posts there are sped up or slowed down, due to “copyright reasons”…which implies that Kanye West’s record company was crying foul? This makes no sense to me, as the song was free to begin with. At any rate, you can’t find it on YouTube or in the iTunes store, so if you’d like a copy (of this track and all of The Daily Doof songs up to this point!), get in touch with me via bloggerphobic@gmail.com. I’ll send CDs to the first 10 people who respond, so get going!
This post raps up (see what I did there?) a pretty hip-hop-heavy week at Bloggerphobic (my apartment). Next week, I hope to mix things up with a few new songs that have been on repeat in my iPod for a while now. I also expect to post my list of 2011′s best albums. Too late, you say? Well fine. Don’t read it then.
Have a really great Friday, everybody. And to my friends at William & Mary–Happy Charter Day Weekend.
