THE DAILY DOOF — January 24, 2012

Blood, by The Middle East

A shot that I took at Tybee, Island. Completely unrelated to the video, save perhaps the tone.

It’s a very busy day at work today, so I can’t stay long!  But please click on the link (or picture) and listen to this really powerful song by The Middle East.  They’re a new find for me in the music world.  The video doesn’t do much for me, but nothing sounds quite like them–their sound is refreshing, crisp, and emotive.  I’m going to try something new by embedding a poll into this post, so that you can mention whether or not you’re a fan of the song.  If it works out, I’ll start using polls for more DAILY DOOFs.

UPDATE:  Sorry!  The title link actually sent some people to the wrong song.  I’ve made the changes.

Very cool video! Is there a particular name for that style? Is it still motion?

I love The Middle East, and I love this song, I really hope you do look into them further because I guarantee you will not be disappointed,

    • Thanks Jeremy! I’ve checked out the rest of the songs on the “Recordings of the Middle East” EP, which I really liked. Enough to check out another album, in fact. Let me know if you have any suggestions!
